Parker Smith is a Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing with Wind River Holdings® in King of Prussia, PA Mr. Smith is responsible for strategy formulation and implementation programs for wholly owned operating companies in the United States and Great Britain.
Prior to joining Wind River, Mr. Smith was a Senior Strategy Consultant with the Worldwide Strategy Practice of Kepner-Tregoe in Princeton, New Jersey. Mr. Smith was the lead consultant in North America providing international strategy consulting for Lowe’s Home Centers, Hallmark International and Atlas Copco (Stockholm, Sweden) among other companies. While with K-T, Mr. Smith conducted strategy formulation work in New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Smith is a classically trained packaged goods marketer who began his career with Ralston Purina Company. He also was Vice President of New Product Development for Schering-Plough, General Manager of a division of the Toro Company and a Corporate Vice President with Nabisco. He is the author of “Global Branding – 5 Steps to Export Success” that appeared in IOMA’s Report on Managing Exports, July 2000.
Mr. Smith is a 1974 graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He received an MBA in 1976 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He lives in Lower Gwynedd, PA with his wife of 25 years and three children.
